Faculty Application

All prospective faculty and staff will be required to complete the following documentation prior to being interviewed:
• Employment application (found on the school’s web site or acquired from the front office)
• Signed statement of faith.
• Resume documenting all employment and/or professional experience, education, certification (if applicable) and other professional credentials with dates.
• Professional references (minimum three)

After this documentation has been secured by the school’s human resources (HR) manager, the HR manager will review documentation and create a personnel file. The administrator will then be provided a copy of the documentation and the administrator may then request the HR manager to schedule an initial interview. Initial interviews may be conducted by either the human resources manager or administrator.
If an applicant lacks either current certification or educational degrees pertinent to their desired teaching position, then the applicant must supply sufficient documentation demonstrating their professional qualifications to teach. The applicant may supply this documentation at the initial interview or provide it prior to being officially hired.

This documentation is to include, but is not limited to:
• Official college transcript
• Professional certifications
• Published materials (a copy must be supplied for verification)
• Letters or written recommendations from employers, customers or other associates on that organization’s official letterhead
• Examples of work demonstrating competency
• Awards and other accomplishments

After the initial interview, reference are then contacted and phone interviews with references documented. At least two of the three references must be contacted and interviewed. Applicant may be required to provide additional references. Notes from reference interviews are dated and signed by interviewer and then stored in personnel file.

Applicants are then contacted within one (1) week to:
• Scheduled for a second interview that may include one or more interviewers
• Informed both verbally and with rejection letter of our decision not to hire applicant at this time
• Informed both verbally and with a formal acceptance letter of our decision to hire applicant with

If the decision is to hire the applicant, then an official background check will be performed.
Provided the background check is acceptable, then a hiring interview is scheduled in which the applicant will provide all required documentation, complete employment documentation, sign a formal employment agreement and read/sign our official staff handbook. The school administrator must approve all hiring decisions and sign all employment agreements.

Teaching staff that are offered employment agreements will be presented with a payment schedule, based upon the number of students per class.

If you are interested in applying, please contact Cheri Ferrell at cferrell@christprep.com or phone the office at 913.831.1345.
